At twenty-one years of physical age, Jon O'Neill, two 'l's dammit, guilt tripped his way onto Atlantis.

He did the whole High School bit again, suffered through it like it was death a thousand times over - except that he already knew what that felt like thanks to Ba'al but really, High School was almost an even match.

He tried university, thought about going back into the military but didn't think he could cope with starting out at the bottom again. It wasn't that terrible, still too many immature people for his tastes but at least he'd been able to get himself some beer. He'd taken an accelerated program so he was able to get it done and over with as fast as possible.

But even after that, after trying to forget it all and failing miserably,'he couldn't fight the fact that all be wanted to do was get back into the Stargate Program.

He went to Daniel first. Bypassed Carter because that would have been too awkward and Teal'c because that would have meant getting into the Mountain which he didn't have clearance for anymore.

Man had it been easy to get Daniel on his side. Jon didn't know if it was because he still knew Daniel so well or if was all Vala, who'd been there when he'd shown up and had volunteered almost immediately to help him. Daniel had volunteered to speak to the old man on his behalf.

The old man did not comply as easily. Though Daniel had already spoken with him, it seemed to have given him more time to prepare a negative response that wasn't a "no" instead of soften him up.

"You have a life," the old man argued.

"I had a life" Jon clarified. "Then I got cloned."

"Well unless I'm mistaken you haven't been sitting on your ass for the past six years, so technically you do have a life. And you're, you know, living. Heart beating, brain functioning, knees not hurting you, living.

Jon scowled, "Your the one who told Thor to fix me. Think about it, you'd be doing this too if you were me. Hell, we are the same person. You kept me like this, you owe me."

At twenty-one physical years of age, Jon O'Neill guilt tripped his way onto Atlantis and for the first time in six years he felt at home.

The city was a constant humming in his mind, which meant it loved him, if he believed the scientists but also meant that was scheduled into the ATA Lightbulb Rotation....awesome.

He was placed onto a team within the first month and there were both some very awesome things about his team, and not so awesome things. On one hand, they were all girls, and that was pretty freaking awesome because they were hot and they knew how to kick ass. But they were all girls and being married once hadn't prepared him for all that girls would talk about amongst themselves.

Jon couldn't fathom why he was chosen for the fourth post on their team. Major Teldy ran a tight ship, had only had other woman on her team before him and yet for some reason she'd made an exception. He kind of wondered if Lt. Haley had something to do with it, if she'd recognized him. The way she watched him sometimes, and the way she let his mannerisims slide when Teldy and Porter didn't suggested it.

He took to Ronon pretty much immediately. The guy was a lot like Teal'c, different background but just as badass and Jon really liked sparing with him.

And he liked Major Lorne who, while incredibly insane, was adept at keeping the military contingent organized. He also had a dry sense of humor and was pretty easy to talk too.

It was Colonel Sheppard that Jon really hadn't been expecting. Sure, he'd read all the reports, talked to the old guy about why he'd been appointed and heard all the stories from the watercooler, but the guy knew nothing about keeping his private life private. Either that or Jon had a really good knack for finding Sheppard in a compromising position with Mitchell every time.

It wasn't like he'd been looking for Sheppard either. If he wanted to talk to the man he radioed him first. But no, Jon could be aimlessly exploring a section of the city - sometimes because he felt Atlantis pull him there - round a corner and get an eye full. (There was that one time with the supply closet he didn't like thinking about because seriously, it was just too much.

"You look like you could use some brain bleach."

Jon was "hiding" in the mess nursing another case of visual TMI and he looked up to see his entire team had decided to join him. It was Alison who'd spoken. She was grinning down at him like she knew everything. Jon didn't discount it.

"How much do you have, cause there's no doubt I'll need more in the future. A lot more."

At twenty-one physical years of age, Jon O'Neill guilt tripped his way onto Atlantis and into a third life. (To him, the second life never happened.)

Cool story! I like Jon's third life, but I think he needs to start wearing a bell around his neck so that John and Cam hear him coming, lol.
